BIO: Deadlee was created in 2000 when Joey Lee survived Y2K! He decided to follow his dreams and become a recording artist. His early work on his first CD Seven Deadlee Sins was a mix of Goth Rap. He later joined the Homo Revolution movement and was featured in Pick Up The Mic, a documentary highlighting open LGBT rappers. He released a successful second CD called ASSAULT WITH A DEADLEE WEAPON. He followed that with a 20 city tour with fellow LGBT artists HOMO REVOLUTION TOUR and pride shows in Mexico, Canada and USA. This led to appearances on CNN, The Tyra Banks Show and Howard Stern.

He stepped away from music to pursue his acting. He’s been in cult favorites Hoochie Mamma Drama, Getting High In The Barrio, as well as the critically acclaimed Meth Head and Rampart. He’s written and performed in over a dozen live theater productions. He played “Ming the Merciless” in the Flash Gordon stage play. He is working to get his first screenplay on film titled BEANZ. A third CD and reunification with some of his producers is on the horizon, DEADLEE FORCE DEFINED. He recently married his longtime partner and has always been in the forefront of marriage and LGBT equality, having worked with gay youth for over 20 years.

Deadlee was a radio DJ in college and is excited to be a part of Papi Chulo RADIO. He is one of the co-hosts of The Rambling Dead: The Unofficial The Walking Dead Internet Radio Show, NO VACANCY: The Unofficial Bates Motel Internet Radio Show and Fear the Rambling Dead: The Unofficial Fear the Walking Dead Internet Radio Show.
